  • Obtained the correct aplanarity distribution plot after normalization of eigenvalues of sphericity tensor
  • Error occured while trying to submit CRAB job for tt0j samples
  • Pre-finished ppt and Dr. Chung suggested that we should discuss about it tomorrow
    • Located in /afs/cern.ch/user/s/sahn/public/study_ttbar.ppt

  • Almost completed the ttbar study presentation slides : what have been done so far and plans what to do
  • Found the problem related to calcuate eigenvalues of sphericity tensor
    • Have to normalise the three eigenvalues to 1 : l1 + l2 + l3 = 1
  • According to the outputs from tt0j samples
    • The appearances of plots related to centrality, sum of non-leading jets Et and etc, are good, but somewhat different from CMS Note

  • Submitted CRAB Job for tt0j samples (now still running) without the aplanarity cuts
    • To compare the effect of the cuts
    • To confirm the signal of ttbar with little background
    • To figure out the appearances of the very hadronic ttbar signal
  • Started making some ppt slides for presenting my work progress so far
  • Found an interesting talk at Review meeting QCD/EWK/TOP
  • Studied fundamental concepts of particle physics by consulting the summer student lecture programme 2007
